Netz des Anbieters

Alle billigen Handytarife nutzen ein bestimmtes Handynetz. Die meisten Mobilfunk-Discounter gibt es für das D1 Netz (Prepaid und Postpaid auf Rechnung) und das E-Plus Netz (Prepaid und monatliche Rechnung). Auch im O2-Netz und D2 Vodafone Netz werden viele Discount-Tarife mit allen Zahlungsmethoden angeboten.

Das Netz, in dem man telefoniert, ist entscheidend für die eigene Erreichbarkeit. Wenn man viel unterwegs ist, möchte man immer erreichbar sein. Das D1-Netz verfügt immer noch über die beste Netzabdeckung in Deutschland, während E-Plus immer noch Funklöcher hat, zum Beispiel zwischen den großen Städten und auf dem Lande.

Als zweites Kriterium ist das Netz entscheidend dafür, wie teuer es für Verwandte und Freunde ist, wenn man angerufen wird.

Alle Handy Tarife im Vergleich haben einen festen Minutenpreis in alle Netze. Das heißt, man kann vom Handy in alle Netze - Festnetz und alle Mobilfunknetze - zum gleichen Preis telefonieren, rund um die Uhr. Dieser Preis ist für Discount Handytarife im Vergleich meist viel niedriger als Minutenpreise in herkömmlichen Handy Laufzeitverträgen. Der Abrechnungstakt beim telefonieren ist immer minutengenau, also wird jede angebrochene Minute mit dem Minutenpreis berechnet.

"Netzintern" – Intern billiger telefonieren - "Community-Tarif" - billige Minutenpreise für netzinterne Gespräche

Eine Besonderheit der Mobilfunk Discounter ist ein besonders günstiger Minutenpreis innerhalb des Anbieters, also von blau zu blau oder von callmobile zu callmobile. Der günstige Preis gilt wirklich nur untereinander für den selben Discount Anbieter, nicht aber zu allen Anbietern des entsprechenden Mobilnetzes. Von simyo zu E-Plus oder callmobile zu D1 zahlt man also den normalen Minutenpreis.

SMS

Alle SMS der Mobilfunk-Discounter kosten einen Preis in alle Netze. Der SMS-Versand in alle Handynetze ist bei den Prepaid Tarif Anbietern sehr preiswert und einheitlich. Andere Handy Tarife haben meist höhere Preise für SMS, oder gar höhere Preise in andere Netze.

Abrechnungstakt

Alle Discount Anbieter rechnen die erste Minute von Gesprächen immer voll ab. Nach der ersten Minute rechnet jeder Anbieter den Takt individuell, zum Beispiel sekundengenau (60/1) oder minutengenau (60/60), ab.

Der billigste Tarif nach Minutenpreis muss nicht immer der beste sein! Bei vielen kurzen Gesprächen knapp über einer Minute lohnen sich eher die Tarife mit sekundengenauer Abrechnung, auch wenn die Minutenpreise etwas höher sind.

Anrufe zur eigenen Mailbox sind bei einigen Mobilfunk Discountern kostenlos. Wenn die Mailbox etwas kostet, wird meist nur der günstige netzinterne Minutenpreis fällig.

Rufnummer mitnehmen

Bei vielen Anbietern von Discount SIM-Karten kann man die Rufnummer aus einem alten Handyvertrag mitnehmen. Diese Option ist interessant, wenn man den Discount Tarif ab sofort ausschließlich benutzen will. Oft muss man beim alten Handy Provider eine Gebühr bezahlen, die so um die 25 Euro liegen kann.

Manche Discount-Tarife bieten billige Datentarife an. Die Discount Anbieter rechnen pro MB oder pro Minute für Internet und WAP über UMTS, EDGE und GPRS Verbindungen ab. Andere Anbieter sind teuer, denn sie rechnen einige Cent pro KB (Kilobyte) oder pro 10KB ab (also mehrere Euro pro MB).

Die Differenz der beiden Angaben ist der effektive Anschaffungspreis. Das ist also rein rechnerisch der Preis, den man bezahlen muss oder sogar geschenkt bekommt, wenn man einen der Discount-Anbieter hier wählt.

Bezahlung bei Mobilfunk-Discounter Tarifen

Es gibt zwei Wege zu bezahlen - Prepaid oder Postpaid.

Prepaid Tarife sind alle Tarife, bei denen man im voraus ein Guthaben auf die Prepaid Karte auflädt. Das Aufladen der Karte geschieht meist automatisch, wenn nur noch ein paar Euro auf der Karte vorhanden sind. Damit ist Prepaid telefonieren nicht umständlicher als ein Handytarif mit Rechnung.

Postpaid heißt, dass man am Monatsende per Rechnung zahlt. Das ist auch für einige Handytarife ohne Vertrag wie Klarmobil und simply möglich.
